Using WordPress 3.5.1 for Someone Else's Website

  • I am editing another person’s website (some one else designed it using WordPress 3.5.1.) If I download and install this software on my computer and link it to the website I am editing, will the website remain the same as it is now after the installation ? Will I be able to edit it as I am doing now when I log into it? It has an Artisteer generated theme. Thank you.

  • You don’t need to download anything to your comptuer. All of the WordPress software resides on the hosting server and any changes or updates that you will make are done directly through the websites admin area.
