I see you have CF7 integration. But while other plugins like mc4wp can put names thru, you need us to write code and stick it in the theme. Since I use the theme across sites, this is not possible.
Why can’t you pass thru fields as they are?

And it seems you can’t use different interests for diff cf7 forms.

    Can you update these features?

  • Hi @blazmate,

You’re right, and this is on our radar with regards to future improvements. Thank you for expressing your interest in those features.

For the time being, a combination of using a child theme and some of our available hooks should allow you to customize the behavior to suit your needs.

    Thanks,
    Jon

Genesis themes are already child themes so not an option. Also code makes me dead! So easy to break the whole site.
I hope you can do this soon, CF7 is also crap in the same way but they have 3rd party plugins that fix the problem.

    Hi @blazmate

Sorry our integrations are not as robust as they could be. We have limited resources we can devote to our free plugins and other issues become a higher priority than our to-do list, like GDPR integrations and API updates Mailchimp makes.

    Take care.

Could you explain, as I’m still a bit confused trying to understand code. Right now if I use Easy Forms for Mailchimp | Integration Settings
I can select Interest Groups and use [yikes_mailchimp_checkbox]
So in CF7, I have a form it adds a checkbox

If I have no code as I explained, what happens once a form is sent with that checked?

As I understand, I’ll get a user with email, the groups, but no name right?

    Hi @blazmate,

That is correct. By default, the only field we grab is the email address. We provide filters for attaching other fields before sending to Mailchimp, but there isn’t currently a non-code solution for doing that with CF7.

Let me know if that helps,
    Jon
