First off, this is a great and useful plugin, and I understand you can’t guarantee it will work with every other plugin out there.

I am trying to use this plugin while also using the MailPoet 3 plugin. I would prefer to use MailPoet’s own SMTP capabilities (using the SMTP server of my web host, which I’m also using for this plugin). I would also prefer to have a different From email for MailPoet, but I cannot use MailPoet with SMTP at all, even if I set its From email and name to the same as I’ve set for this plugin. When I try to send a test email via MailPoet, it fails.

I can get MailPoet to successfully send a test email using the default PHP mailer, but that is not ideal.

Has anyone used this plugin successfully with MailPoet 3 (using SMTP rather than PHP mailer)?

Another question would be, is there a hook I can use to exclude certain plugins from using this plugin for email?

No, there is nothing like that inside WP Mail SMTP.

Different email-sending plugins are conflicting with each other, as they are using more or less same WordPress functions or objects (wp_mail() and class-phpmailer.php). It’s not possible to use 2 of them but differently. The only way right now – select one and stick to it.
