• Hi,

I’ve installed the plugin and im trying to use it with my site which is made with Brizy builder. I can’t find any sort of instructions for this anywhere.
Also, even after installing I don’t find the option of using Photonic in my media library.

I want to add a lightbox on this page so the comics i add, appear and lightbox and can be scrolled in lightbox.

    Can someone help?

    thanks a lot in advance.

I’ve installed the plugin and im trying to use it with my site which is made with Brizy builder. I can’t find any sort of instructions for this anywhere.

I wasn’t aware of this builder, hence there is no instruction about it. The more common ones such as Elementor, Beaver or Gutenberg are documented here. Basically you should either be able to use the “Add / Edit Photonic Gallery” button that appears in the Classic Editor (if the builder lets you use the Classic Editor, like Divi), or use the Gutenberg Block for Photonic (if the builder lets you use Gutenberg blocks), or use the Photonic widget (if the builder lets you use WP widgets – this might not work out of the box and might need some development work from me). Any of the 3 avenues above should launch the gallery wizard for Photonic that will let you pick the gallery.

Also, even after installing I don’t find the option of using Photonic in my media library.

I can help answer your question better with a little more information from you.

    1. Are your comics all uploaded via the WP media library? If yes, Photonic doesn’t change the experience of uploading photos – it merely provides a way to display native WP galleries differently.
    2. Or, are you planning on using an external source such as SmugMug, Flickr or Google Photos? This is Photonic’s sweet spot, so if this is what you are trying, I will need to dig deeper.
    3. Are you looking to construct albums etc. in WordPress, one for each comic? Photonic doesn’t do this, i.e. its intended design is not to create albums in your media library. For this you might be better off using a different gallery plugin such as Modula or Envira – pretty much every other gallery plugin fills this space.
    4. If you are trying to work with point #1 above and simply you want a lightbox, Photonic is likely to be an overkill (kind of like using Ferrari to drive to the end of a block).

    Thanks for the response.

    A. Yes, All i want is to display each comic (around 4-10 images) in a lightbox which is scrollabel. That is all.

    B. All the images are in my WP Gallery, and It has tons of images, so when i do use the shortcode “gallery”, I see all of them on the page. That’s not what I need, I need just a few images which I choose, to be scrollable in the lightbox.

    C. I now think Photonic is an overkill for sure, do you know which can help me with #B?

    thanks!

I think if you use a basic, popular lightbox plugin (pick any of the ones available on this site), that will help you with #B. You will still create a gallery as you do, and the lightbox will get automatically attached to it.
