Using wd for Writing Articles

I want to use WordPress for writing Articles. I managed to use the categories as a navigation-menu. the posts in there should be the articles.
my problem is, that the post-description text is the same as when I open the full article (page) so its shown twice. I want to have a description-text and besides that the original article text.

I want a cms-like wordpress: I need a image on the left and the post-title + description at the right side. On clicking at the post a new page (without the description) should show up.
by the way I did not manged to put the image on the left side and the post-text right to it (the text is always under the image).

Did I take the right way or is it just wishiwashi:>
I hope somebody can help me or give me at least an advice what I can do to achieve my aim
