Using the WordPress Gallery feature
-
I have been using a flash based gallery for all my photos before. But since I want to have everything directly in wordpress I’m gonna start using the gallery feature in wordpress instead.
I must say, I am very inspired of Matt Mullenwegs blog, and his gallery set up. There are just some questions about how he uses some stuff.
First of all it seems as he does every gallery as a single post. He sets all the gallery posts under a single category. This I have done at the moment, using three test galleries. You can find my galleries at https://jimmymalmqvist.com/category/gallery
Now for the questions, most importent first.
1. How do I set links for next and previous photo, when viewing single photo in gallery? And is it possible to show the image instead of plain text as the link.
2. How do I show a preview image at the gallery index page for every gallery post listed?
3. How do I put an image next to the post title, showing that the post has images or galleries?
4. When clicking the photo I want to link to the next photo in the gallery, instead of the full size version, how to do this?
Some less importent stuff:
5. How do I make it possible for visitors to tag the images?
6. Is it possible to crop the image to a certain height?
