Using the plugin only for redis cache

Hello, I got a question about using lscache plugin only for redis integration.

Can the plugin be used only for redis integration?

We use another cache plugin, but still want to have a redis integration in order to use the auto purge ls cache plugin gives when something is updated in the website.
