Using the Outlet child theme for Storefront but I would like to have the logo and secondary menu items above the header, like the Storefront theme demo shows.

Is there a simple way to do this with Outlet? I’m not sure what functionality I’m gaining with the Outlet child theme and perhaps it’s simpler to just use the Storefront theme. Any thoughts?

  • Hi @aglea,

I think what you are saying is that this background image of the keyboard, iPad, etc… should be beneath the logo and main navigation menu instead acting as a background image. Is that correct?

If so, there may be some ways around this that we can look into. ??

Hi Ryan, Actually, no. The original plain storefront theme shows image with logo, search bar, secondary menu at the top of the page on white background, before header image:

Then the primary menu below header, like on your Outlet screenshot.

Looks simple yet I’m having trouble replicating with Outlet child, which is making me wonder what functionality I’m gaining with Outlet?

    Thanks so much!

    Support for?Outlet?is provided at https://woocommerce.com/my-account/create-a-ticket/?form=ticket.

Please login to WooCommerce.com with the account you’ve used to purchase
Outlet, select?Outlet?from the dropdown so that the query ends up in the right queue.

I didn’t think this was the type of question they would answer and a support forum would be more appropriate? I guess there’s no Outlet support forum on this wordpress site though, that’s why I thought Storefront users might be the best bet.
    Thanks for your response.

    Hi @aglea,

If you do, or already have, submitted a ticket let us know the ticket number. Otherwise, I assume you’ll end up in live chat and can get help figuring out your best options and next steps to get what you are after. ??

    Thanks!
