• Hi!
sarahvigue.com is my website and sarahvigue.com/wp-admin/edit.php is the login Hostgator told me to use instead of just plain sarahvigue.com/wp-admin.

When I go to either url, I get an: Epic 404 – Article Not Found. How terrifying! Gosh golly, isn’t a 404 bad enough w/o it being epic? Help! ?? I contact Hostgator and they’ve been deactivating my 12 or so plugins (this happens each week) for the past month. As of yesterday, they said it isn’t the plugin but my theme The Huxley. HG can’t tell me how to fix this issue, only to try a different theme but I tried simply clicking on a different theme to make it “Active” and I lost the functionality of my widgets etc plus I don’t know if I believe HG because they haven’t been reliable.

Having to pay $15 for a site restore to get my Huxley theme back up only to get locked out of the site again is not ideal. Please help ?? I’ve very new to this whole WordPress website thing – yikes!

  • Hey @svigue1234567,

Ok, so if the standard wp-admin url doesn’t take you to the login page, you can access the login page by going here – https://sarahvigue.com/wp-login.php – then click Login with username and password at the bottom.
Looks like you have the plugin JetPack setup? This is what may be causing the issue, try disabling that temporarily and see if the issue continues.
I highly doubt it is theme related, so I wouldn’t bother setting up a new theme if you took the time to get the Huxley theme just the way you want it!

    Hope that helps ??

    Hi!
This is helping so far. Do I need JetPack or an alternative? It kind of seems like everyone uses JetPack but it also seems like it’s only needed to move one wordpress site to another. Any idea?

    Hey @svigue,

JetPack has many great features, but if you disabled the plugin and find everything works better then you should just leave it disabled.
Sometimes certain plugins and certain themes conflict with each-other, this might be one of those cases…
