    Dear developers,

I want to make the pop up close and reach a target of a page when the user click the button. I tried to use the close URL provided by this plugin as the target, and set that URL as the link of that button. But it doesn’t work. The pop up closes but it doesn’t direct the user to that target. What should I do?

Thank you for reading and your help.

    Yours faithfully,
    Hugo Sum

    Hi Hugo,

Can you point me out how to replicate your case?

I have set the target on the post using the closing url provided by your plugin

    <a name="elementor-action%3Aaction%3Dpopup%3Aclose%20settings%3DeyJpZCI6IjU4MDYiLCJ0b2dnbGUiOmZhbHNlfQ%3D%3D"></a>

and set that closing url as the url for the button. But when I click the button, the popup closes but it does not redirect me to that target. Is it possible for me to fix it? If not, is it possible for you to add this feature in this plugin?

Thank you so much for reading and your help.

    Yours faithfully,

I meant, where exactly in your mentioned page URL that I can try the issue? I can’t help without trying the button on your page.

The plugin only reveals Elementor popup URL. The script and the logic behind the trigger action is totally from Elementor.

By the way the tag you mentioned is wrong. It should use href attribute instead of name.

Sorry I didn’t post a link because that pop up was not working. I have no created a staging site for your observation, and that pop up will come up when you enter a post.

I have also set the target as <a name="likecoin"></a> and the link of the button is #likecoin. I am not sure but I guess name is used for setting up an anchor in post?

Thank you for reading and I am really appreciate for your help.

    Hi Hugo,

Just checked your staging page, and I tried the “Ok bring me to the button” button. The <a name="likecoin"></a> is fine. The problem is:

You can’t use Elementor popup’s closing URL along with the redirection. Because Elementor popup’s closing URL (that is revealed by our plugin) is using hash #elementor-action...... So you can’t use another hash like #likeicon altogether.

Thank you so much for looking into the issue for me. I guess I have to make a hello bar to replace this pop up. Do you think there is a better solution?

Again, thank you so much for helping me!

Unfortunately there is no possible way for that kind of flow. The only possible solution might be through manual javascript coding.

I will mark this as resolved, let me know if you still need further helps.
