    Hi!

We use wp-subtitle (and currently Open Graph and Twitter Card Tags ) which means we have custom filters/hooks handling title. Can blog2social support the use of subtitles / custom meta data? Where should I look?

    Hello,

    Thanks for reaching out.

Blog2Social provides you with multiple filter hooks. You can find more information here:
How to use Blog2Social Hooks: Filters & Actions

In addition, you can also tick the boxes for using open graph tags / twitter card tags in Blog2Social. I attached a screenshot for you.

What are open graph tags and what do I use them for?

Please let me know if you have further questions.

Thanks, the meta title filter should do the trick!

Oh dear. It works for the meta tags within the blog but all the titles are wrong on FB and Twitter, etc.

I thought it was a bit too easy.

It’s difficult to test this stuff when you running development in a secure network.

Now we have posts on public sites WITHOUT subtitle, although, the OG tags within the site are fine.

How in the world do we get the correct form {Subtitle}: {Title} working????

Hmmm. Ok, it’s FINE for Facebook and Reddit. The case that has us running in circles is twitter. Maybe we’re using the wrong type of sharing (pic instead of link)?

In any case, the title is showing correctly on facebook and on reddit but not for twitter.

    Hello,

    Thank you for your feedback.

May I ask you if you checked the “Twitter Cards” in your posts source code?
Twitter will always display the information it finds in your “Twitter Cards”.
    What are Twitter Cards?

Do I understand you correctly that you want to share link-posts on Twitter by default?
You can edit your post templates for Twitter and set up link-posts (Blog2Social -> Networks -> Edit Post Template next to Twitter). I attached a screenshot for you (https://prnt.sc/12gq3xz).
How to use post templates for social media posts?

In addition, you can check how your posts would look like on Twitter with the “Twitter Card Validator”.

Please let me know if it works for you afterwards or if you have further questions.

It’s just that the {title} tag cannot be used. If one ignores that and uses the ‘link’ type, then the OG tags alone will do the trick.

Using ‘Bild'(picture) type with {title}{excerpt}{keywords} was clipping of the subtitles:

The validator input looks fine as long as one doesn’t use the {title} tag.

    Hello,

    Thanks for your feedback.

Due to privacy reasons we also contacted you via mail.

In your screenshot I noticed that you shared an image-post on Twitter. On your Facebook account I noticed that you are sharing link-posts.
If you want the posts on Twitter to look like your Facebook posts I would recommend using link-posts as well.
Please be so kind as to configure your “Post Template” in the Blog2Social networks overview as shown in this screenshot.
    https://prnt.sc/12gq3xz

Please also note that there is a character limit of 280 on Twitter which could cause your text to be cut off.

I’m looking forward to your reply.
