Using Subscribe2 with WP Mailster

    UPDATE: If I use the CLUB edition of WP Mailster can I use it for Event Notifications whenever I add a post to the website? Can WP Mailster be configured to automatically send an email to a group when there is a new post? Do I have the option to disable it on a post by post basis? If I can use WP Mailster then I do not need subscribe2 and my original question is no irrelevant.

    We use Subscribe2 to notify our users of new posts to our site.

    We are thinking of using WP Mailster for emailing members and as a Listserv.

    Rather than managing a list of subscribers in Subscribe2 can I simply add one email address of a WP Mailster group to Subscribe2 and when would then allow WP Mailster to send the post notification.

    There are no public subscriptions they are all added by our admins.

    Using Subscribe2 to initiate a WP Mailster email allows me to manage only one list of subscribers.

    Will it work?

    Subscribe2 and WP MAilster seems to be slightly different solutions.

    Subscribe2 is designed to notify subscribers of your new content and it manages the mailing list for you. WP Mailster seems to be a mailing list solution so you can broadcast to the list by sending to an email address.

    Could the 2 work together? Yes, I suspect so. Probably the easiest way is to migrate all Subscribe2 subscribers to WP Mailster and then add a single email address that is the broadcast address to Subscribe2, then when new content is posted Subscribe2 will send it to WP Mailster and that in turn will broadcast to your mailing list.

    I plan to try both, giving Subscribe2 a single email address but also once I’ve upgraded to a Pro version of WP Mailster I plan to try this trigger action to see if it provides the same functionality.
