    Hello,

If I am planning to use storefront theme with a premium child theme available on woocommerce what would be the way to go forward? Should I first install storefront and make all changes to it before buying and activating child theme?

Also I wanted to know that in the current functions file of my current child theme, I have added some code. Should I put this code in storefront theme’s function file or its child theme?

    Hi @mayank29gupta,

If you’re using a child theme, ideally all changes should be made to your child theme.

If you’re using a child theme purchased from WooCommerce.com, you don’t want to make any changes to the functions.php file of the child theme itself as those changes will be lost when you update it to the next version.

Instead, you’ll want to use the free Theme Customizations plugin here to handle those changes.

    Cheers.

I’ll go ahead and mark this thread as resolved now. If you have any other questions do open a new thread.
