Using Shortcodes in a Widget??

Hello,

I’m, just about ready to launch a wordpress site, and I need to know how I can use a plugin shortcode in a widget.

This is the code:
[fergcorp_cdt_single date="16.4.2010"]

I tried using it in both a text box and a php code box, and all it does is display the code… but it works fine in posts and pages.

Is there any way to do this??
