I have a WordPress site that uses SendGrid plugin to send SMTP mail and ‘Paid Membership Pro’ plugin (PMPro) to enable ‘for-fee’ membership features.
The website currently uses a PMPro shortcode to gather leads. This shortcode does NOT have a double opt-in feature.
I am trying to explore the possibility of switching to a double opt-in lead gathering system using SendGrid’s subscription widget (included in SendGrid WordPress plugin version 1.9).
Are registered user email addresses available in the WordPress User List when the SendGrid Subscription Widget is used to gather leads?
Or, are the email addresses available ONLY inside SendGrid?
I would appreciate thoughts on making SendGrid’s double opt-in lead gathering system work with PMPro.
    Thanks,
    Melissa

    Hi.

At this time, the SendGrid Subscription Widget only uploads contacts to the SendGrid Contact List Storage. So they are only available inside SendGrid.
You can export them from your SendGrid Dashboard in CSV format if you want to use them elsewhere.

    Thanks,
    SendGrid

How can I automate the export of contacts from SendGrid to the WordPress site? Has SendGrid set up an API for this purpose?
    Thanks,
    Melissa

    Hi Melissa,

You can export the Contacts from your SendGrid Dashboard in CSV format if you want to use them elsewhere.
There is an API for this purpose – you can get all the Contacts, but SendGrid doesn’t offer tools to automate the import of Contacts from Marketing Campaigns into WordPress.

    Thank you,
    SendGrid
