I have an issue with my theme which I believe is being caused by comments. Google can’t index my posts with comments because of a 500 error.

I am looking for a temporary solution to remove all comments and disable all comments while we upgrade our site to a new theme that is supported by current versions of wordpress.

If I unapprove all the comments on our site and then use this plugin to disable comments on all posts and pages, both current and future is will be able to reactive comments easily in the future and approve all the comments that I unapproved?

We have several custom post types, does the plugin usually work with custom post types?

Thanks you for any information you can provide.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Yes, disabling the plugin should restore all comment functionality. Just make sure you don’t use the tool to delete all comments.

does the plugin usually work with custom post types?

Yes, provided those post types have properly used the WordPress API to declare support for comments.

Do not use the Delete Comments tool, it will delete the comment, using above suggestion is good for now.
