Using Preload on a large site

    First question… Ok, I have been trying to find information and get a firm understanding of the Preloader. I have a large site with thousands of pages, add 18+/- posts a day, and get thousands of visitors. Between the hours of 4 am and 8 pm, the website is updated most often hourly, sometimes even more often. Plus, a new page will typically begin receiving visitors in just a minute or two. I have Managed WordPress Hosting with way more resources than I currently need, especially with Cloudflare cache serving 95% of requests. I am trying to figure out the best option for using the preload/scheduler or not. I am really worried about overloading the system.

    Second questions… I have the Cloudflare plugin with Automatic Platform Optimization enable. This (1) creates a static version of the site and (2) sends a signal to Cloudflare when the site is updated. Since that is the case, would this eliminate the need for me to use the “Purge Cloudflare” feature in WP-Optimize?

    At the rate you are getting visits and with your number of pages, I would recommend not enabling the scheduled preload.
    The visited pages will get cached when they’re visited anyways.
