Using Posts’s Featured Image in Image Lightbox Gallery

I am looking for a way to set the featured image in a post as the first image in a Lightbox gallery, or at least art the image that triggers an image Lightbox gallery to open.

We have a posts carousel on our homepage that pulls the featured image, title, and except from 6 posts created specifically for this carousel/slider.

What we want to do is be able to click on the image in the carousel and have it open a Lightbox gallery that is populated with other photos in the body of the post for that featured image.

I cannot figure out how to access the “Media File” option for the featured image, as this option is no longer available when accessing image files directly in the Media Library. Instead, it’s only available in the tool bar after inserting an image in the body of a post.

For an example of what we are looking to do, please visit https://www.linandjirsa.com and go to the carousel/slider just under the title “WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY GALLERIES”.

Click on an image in the carousel, and it opens in a Lightbox gallery. The images in that LB gallery are not pulled from the other posts in that carousel. Instead, it looks like they are being pulled from the body of the post for that item, or from a gallery somehow.

Can we use your plugin to achieve this LB functionality with the plugin we are using for the posts carousel (it’s called WP Show Posts, for reference).
