• I’m a little leery of asking but I couldn’t find the answer in the archives. (apologies in advance if the answer is there and I’m an ignoramus)

I am wanting to use posts as pages for information regarding my farm. Is there a way I can do this without spamming my RSS readers? Thank you. Ang.

  • Not quite understanding why you would want to do that.

You do know that in Administration > Settings > Reading, you can set Blog pages show at most to 1 so there’s just one post ‘per page’.

That was so simple, Thank you. The reason I want to use post rather than pages is for categories to create a page like this- https://suzannemcminn.com/how-to-do-stuff/the-farmhouse-table/

It’s the only way I could figure it out to provide information on my CSA, Garden tips and recipes. If you know of a better way, please, please tell me. Thank you very much for the help you already have provided.

Not being an expert, in my humble opinion, the content you mentioned does seem to be more suited for Posts rather than Pages.

And the content for the Pages might be directions to your farm, contact page information. Content that will never really change.

Hi. Suzanne from Chickens in the Road here. My Farmhouse Table page IS built as a page, not a post. What runs the daily posts in various categories to either the Barn page, or the Farmhouse Table, or Country Garden, etc, is a script or plugin or both, I’m not sure. My techie person does that part. But they are pages, not posts. Hope that helps. If you need to know more, feel free to email me from my Contact button at my website and I can look at the code on that page for you.

@suzanne: Just wanted to say your site looks very very good! I’ve been browsing around for the past few minutes ??

Hi, Mosey. Thanks! All credit goes to Emily at SwankWebStyle. She designed (and technically finagled) every bit of it. She is quite a wizard with WordPress!
