using post tags on wiki pages

There are tags, just go to wp-admin > Wikis > Wiki Tags

I appreciate you answering (as these aren’t your forum). I ended up buying the Pro version, and found the tags. It would have helped me to know beforehand, if you are updating the features at any point!

These are tags for the wiki custom post type, and work fine. I wonder if you might consider just adding the code to allow standard categories and tags to work with your wiki pages (which I understand to be fairly trivial) – both so that I could mix wiki and non-wiki pages/posts, and also so that all the tool already available for tags and categories could be used?

If you bought the pro version you should now have access to our own forums where you can make feature requests. That would be the best place for this suggestion as it will get the audience of the developers rather than just us support guys!

I want to get this really clear in my mind – are you saying that in the lite version you can’t tag wikis? I’m using the lite version and only have wikis, add wikis, wiki settings.

Shame, this is a community project that can’t afford $80 a month for the pro version. Yeah I know you can sign up for a tenner and then unsubscribe, but updates are important to us.

I think you are incorrect regarding the cost – I believe it’s $90 pcm for all plugins, but only $19 to get support and updates for one. And you can also just pay $19 whenever you want an update, which is unlikely to be monthly.

I also think it’s important to factor in that plugins you pay for are more likely to be kept updated (essential at the very least to match WordPress updates) and if we rely on the goodwill of developers, we are playing a risky game, as they may just decide they haven’t got time, or might fall under a bus and we lose a core feature.

As my project is still just a proposal that may not get the go ahead, I am at the moment just paying for updates I need, but testing the pro version out was essential.

Yeah that’s right, there are a few things that are available in the pro version and not the lite version.

Some people don’t see it this way, so thanks ?? We have several full time developers keeping all the plugins up to date and adding new features.

As mentioned above you could sign up to get the pro version, then cancel, and just re-subscribe as and when you need updates ??
