    Hello,

I created a CPT called Room.

Originally I created a page called Rooms that would then do a loop and list all the custom post type of Room into the page. That works fine, however, when I add Yoast SEO breadcrumb, when I’m in the single room page, the breadcrumb shows “Home / Standard King” vs “Home / Rooms / Standard King”.

The only way for the full breadcrumb to show up with “Rooms” in it is to use the archive post. Is there a way to make it working using pages?

    Amy

My primary question is why not make use of the archive instead of trying to display via page? Are you getting some other settings/features with the page version that you’re not seeing with the archive?

Yes, the page itself has other content and that’s why I wanted to pull in the custom post type.

With the archive, I can’t pull in content w/o having to do more workarounds like adding shortcode variables, etc.

If there is no way, that’s fine, I’ll just inject the missing breadcrumb with jquery.

    Thanks,
    Amy

There may be ways, but it would all be better asked to Yoast Support since it’s their breadcrumbs being used. I’m aware the functionality exists, but I haven’t really done any customization around it.
