    Hello,

On the website of my client, users can change their nickname (because by default in WordPress we can’t change username…)
I would like to use nickname instead of username inside wpdiscuz comments.
Or is it possible to let user change “Display name publicly as” in front-end?

How can I achieve that please?

    Thanks!

    Hi @gvectorssupport,

It’s not something that can help me.
As the article didn’t provide a way for user to modify their “display name as” on front-end.
And you didn’t tell me how to display nickname for wpDiscuz comments.

As the article didn’t provide a way for user to modify their “display name as” on front-end.

This doesn’t have any relation to wpDiscuz plugin. wpDiscuz is a commenting plugin. It uses the value that is set for “Display name publicly as” option. You should find some other plugin that’ll allow the users to change their “display name as” on front-end.

And you didn’t tell me how to display nickname for wpDiscuz comments.

As I’ve already mentioned above you should just change the value of the “Display name publicly as” option.

So with wpDiscuz plugin we can’t change the information you use to display the name of the author?

You’ll always use “Display name publicly as”?

The profile plugins like BuddyPress allows changing this display name from the frontend. wpDiscuz is well integrated with wpForo Forum, BuddyPress and Ultimate Member profile builder plugins.
