using meta tags in header in conjunction with SEO plugin

  • I am trying to work out the best SEO approach for my site. I have been advised by one person to put some key word meta tags in the my header file, and another person suggested adding m key words via the All in One SEO Pack.

    Does anyone know which wold be more effective? And if I do both, will this cause problems?
