    Hi,

I have been using this dashboard for some time now and happy with it. Recently, I started using Google Tag Manager and was wondering how do I make it work with the dashboard?
How can I place my Google Analytics tracking ID inside the dashboard plugin but not have it write that into my site’s code?

    Thanks,
    Tsahi

  • GADWP 5.0 has support for GTM, the beta will be available in a few days. It would be great if you could test it out.

Once ready, just ping me here or directly and I’ll be your first user ??

The documentation is not ready yet, but the setup should be straightforward, see the Tracking Code screen.

Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP) support for both Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager is also available, in case you need it.

I’d like to be able to use GTM also. Is there anything I ought to be aware of if using the beta version above? When is v5.0 likely to be released?

    In a few weeks.

Came here with the same question, looking forward to GTM support in this great plugin. Thanks!

I installed the beta version and the tracking via Tag Manager seems to work like a charm. Great addition to the plugin!

Will the beta version you provided here automatically indicate an update to the stable version once it is ready?

    hey Alin,

I was just following up on this. I know it’s marked as resolved, but is it available in the current 4.9.6.2 version, or are we still waiting for the 5 release. I note the last post was about 6 weeks ago and you had stated a couple of weeks before the release… do you mind giving a new ETA?

Look so forward to this feature. I’ve been using this plugin for years now, on all of my sites. One and only!

    Thanks,

    Joe

I still need to finish and test one more feature (for the dashboard component) before going ahead with a first RC, so it can take a while.

Normally I do releases more often, but I really want to implement all the features that could require additional user actions in one major release, which is made once a year. That’s why is taking so long.

Meanwhile the beta version can be used/tested.

One of my clients would love this! Any projection on when this will become a major release? (range is fine.)

It’s already available, see the plugin’s documentation.

    Hi there

I just added the GTM code to GADWP and Tag assistant gives me this info
“GTM no-script code not found: either missing or not in <body>”
As you probably know the GTM code is split in 2 and 1st part has to be placed in the <head> and 2nd part in the <body> and i do not have that option.
    Have i overlooked something ?

    No,

The second part is simply omitted because it refers to tracking browsers that do not execute JavaScript. In some browsers disabling JavaScript isn’t even possible nowadays and there is no viable way to add that code right after the <body> tag in WP.
