Our site has been built with Toolset, We have many custom posts, We’d like to have a Glossary index for each custom post with Auto-linking. Any post title would show as a link with tooltip in any description on the site. Is it possible with your plugin? Thanks

  • Hi,
out plugin in the premium version has a shortcode to generate the glossary index https://codeat.co/glossary/docs/glossary-index-pro/
Autolinking is a feature available with the free version but the pro offers more.
For the tooltip instead can include the excerpt of the post https://codeat.co/glossary/docs/tooltip-styles/

Thanks – What we are trying to achieve before we buy the Pro version is to have autolinking working for a custom post types where we have already 100+ posts. When we enable this Post Type in Codeat it does not create autolinking from the existing post titles. We have to re-create them manually. Am I correct? Thanks

The autolinking is available from the free version also for custom post type so you can try it with the free one.
Anyway the autolinking is on the fly and the content is not altered in the db so you need only that the Glossary terms are available and to enable the plugin for the various post types you want.

Yes – we enabled the glossary in the settings for a specific post types with more than 1000 posts already, I guess we expected the 1000+ post titles to become autolinks automatically but they didn’t.

Maybe there are settings issues can you send to [email protected] a temporary user and password as admin, so I can check what is happening?

Sure I made you an admin.
You should have received the login info.
    Thanks for your help.
We are testing using the mot “Test” which contains other Mot Post Title in the description.

As I can see you didn’t create any Glossary terms (in glossary post type) in your website.
Our plugin needs them because use it as sources to the stuff to inject in the other post type, in your case as you configured in Mots post type.

That what I thought. We are looking for a plugin that would automatically create the glossary from the post titles. We’ll keep on looking. Thanks for your help.

Our plugin create the glossary automatically from the post title, but requires that is the plugin built-in post type and not another custom.
Next our plugin will inject links etc to the post type picked in the settings.

This is our issue. All our Post Types are custom created with Toolset. We need the Glossary to be generated from the titles of these custom Post Types. Thanks

No our plugin doesn’t support that, the best way is to remove the custom one and use the built-in (with a migration of the already existing posts that is possible to do it automatically.)
