Using GIF for main image

I am trying to create a slide show for the main front page image.

I can’t use the actual side show option in elementor because it isn’t as configurable as an individual image, and either the image ends up being too zoomed in and not fitting, or it ends up repeating if set to “contain”

So I figured I’d make a slide show GIF with the images, and upload it as a single picture.

When I am in elementor, the GIF works and plays through the images. Yet, when I look at the actual page, it just shows as a static image. The GIF won’t play.

Any idea how to fix this? (Either with getting the slide show function to work or by getting to GIF to play?)
