• Hi,

thank you for this nice plugin, works fine and easy to tune.

On my website I would like, for some users, to display the posts with their full easyTOC but with only a part of the post, the part that is defined by the “more” tag.

How could i extract the easyTOC info from the_content so as to display it separately ?

    Thanks for any advice ;

There are some sources available to take screenshots and get screenshot links or You can share them as a google drive shareable link.

so this is how the data is displayed for a registered user
    – full TOC
    – full content

    https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Le5M0h5uRvoyAsJP3EJ-1w-Xc_p20WmM/view?usp=sharing

Now this is the actual display for someone not registered. I need to add the full TOC on top.

When a user is not registered, i have a filter function applied to ‘the_content’ to extract the ‘main’ content, ie the beginning of the content till the ‘more’ tag. This is what is returned by the filter.

If i set a priority lower than 100 (priority of your plugin), then my filter function is executed before yours and then easyTOC generates a partial TOC based on the ‘main’ content, not the whole content. So actually i’m using a 101 priority level. (and of course have no TOC at all as you can see).

I hope these informations will help you understand my request.

    Thanks for your time

If possible can you please share the screenshots in the English language once for a better understanding of this? So that we will help you accordingly to resolve it.

    Hello,
sorry for the delay, holiday time.

I think you can recognize your easyTOC block on the the first link, on top of the full post.

How can i get this block and display only a part of the post, the intro part, till the ‘more’ tag, equivalent to something like :
    $content[‘main’]
