Hi, i am hosting WordPress on AWS EC2, with a Bitnami instance and I would like to check on the procedure to run duplicator and replicate my site from elsewhere into AWS. I am more familiar with “mainstream” hostings using cPanel, and this is the first time i’m using AWS.

    1) Do i move the installer.php and archive.zip files into this location? /opt/bitnami/apps/wordpress/htdocs
    2) Following this, i will execute https://www.website.com/installer.php and the remaining usual procedures?

    Thanks so much!

  • Hey @papabearstore,

I have not used AWS EC2 directly, but if its running PHP and MySQL and a web server such as apache then it should work. Duplicator works with cPanel setups but does not require it. Just the aforementioned items above. We have had reports from other users who have the plugin working on that instance without issues.

You should be able to place the installer and archive on the site and run it without issues. If you run into issues be sure to check the installer log file and let us know if you have any questions…

    Hope that helps~
