using deprecated function

  • Just updated to WP 4.4 and now I am getting this error:

    Notice: get_userdatabylogin is deprecated since version 3.3! Use get_user_by('login') instead. in /Users/donna/Sites/lcso/wp-includes/functions.php on line 3568

    The only code that was calling the function was line 283 in plugins/limit-login-attempts/limit-login-attempts.php.

    This should be an easy fix if anyone has access to the code base.
