Using Custom Fields to add YouTube URL?

  • Hello, I am trying to build a simplified front end user submission form for my causal readers. The idea is that there would be a custom field above the content text box that they could post a youtube url in. This way the post automatically embeds the youtube video with their added content below. How can I accomplish this?

  • hello mbaca8604, did you find a solution for your idea??i would like to have the same thing!!!
    when a user post a normal youtube url, the post displays normaly the embed video in the single page, but not the thumbnail in the posts page(index or whatever)
    does someone knows how to do this?
