Using custom fields for Products XML Feeds

    Hi,

    Im developing the proper .XML feed. But i would like to have some extra features included in the XML feed. I couldn’t find the proper shortcodes.
    Can i set a custom product info?

    There is a short code here but couldn’t find the proper documentation, on how to use it.

    For example i have some toners for printers available, and i would like to show the color of the toner in the XML feed.
    Example: Red,Yellow,Blue….

    Could please someone explain how can i use the custom fields for the product?

  • Hi Zany,

    The custom fields you have referenced are fields for the customers to fill in. You may want to try out using product meta. To retrieve meta data you would use [wcj_product_meta] shortcode and write it using “Custom fields” (not related to the ones you have referenced) meta box in the product edit page (it may not be available by default so enable it in display options in the top right).
