    Hi Devon,
I am trying to make your email notifications respect the HTML of the body of the post. (Right now the notification is just bunched together text with no line breaks etc.) To accomplish this I am trying to use the “Advanced Excerpt” plugin but it seems your plugin (which is great!) does not respect these “custom excerpts”. Is there a tag that will use the plain old WP excerpt (the one this except is modifying?)

I just need the notification email to look nicer. It’s a requirement from my boss ??

Thanks in advance for your help!

    Hi David,

I saw your other thread and that you got your excerpt to show up (which is a good first step ?? ).

As for formatting, at least one other person has mentioned in the past that Post Notif does not work with the custom excerpts created by the Advanced Excerpts plugin; sorry about that. I am curious, however, what exact HTML tags you have in the excerpt, so I can do some further investigation.

When you have a chance, would you please send me a sample? My email address is my first name at devonostendorf dot com.

    Thanks,
    Devon

    Hi David,

I’m not sure whether you were able to resolve this issue but since it has been several months since there’s been activity on this thread, I am going to mark it as resolved.

    Thanks,
    Devon
