• SO it seems the common way to use Composer to install WP is by requiring 2 packages: johnpbloch/wordpress-core-installer and johnpbloch/wordpress

    This strikes me as odd and I wonder if someone can explain to me why wordpress-core-installer is all we need is the WordPress core files that come from johnpbloch/wordpress.

    After all, when we use Composer to require plugin packages, we only require one package per plugin.

    If anyone can enlighten me I’d be most obliged. Or if someone knows where I can talk to Composer people, that would be cool too.
