Using Child Template or Create Entirely New Template?

  • Hi,

    I’m currently creating a entirely different template from the TwentySixteen template. I wonder what TwentySixteen brings to the table and if I should create a new template that does not have any dependencies on any wordpress templates?

    I’m saying this because I will be adding bootstrap to the theming project and I wouldn’t want bootstrap styles to clash with wordpress’ styles.

    Please advise ??

    If u want to create the custom template then it is not necessary to create a child theme.Child theme are only for those theme that are on the www.remarpro.com repository because the themes get instantly updated after certain period which may get updated along with parent theme.
