Using child post type as repetitive fields

I created a parent and child post and am using child post to create repetitive fields in parent post.
It was working fine and I added couple of conditions and now whenever I click on Add I just keep getting the loading icon. If I refresh the post then that child post is added fine – so its just about some ajax refresh breaking in a very particular case (or so it seems to me)
The whole installation is at localhost so issue is definitely not due to network connection. The condition logic in field group for child post I applied was if var1 is checked then show var11 else show var12 and va13. While defining in Types interface var1 is defined before var11, 12 and 13
