I was wondering if there was anything special needed to make Contact Form 7 work on a domain with SSL.

Every page of this website needs to be SSL’d, so I can’t use a plugin to remove SSL on the contact form, which is a solution I have seen others suggest.

The contact form had been working fine, up until when we applied the SSL certificate. Now we receive the following error upon trying to submit the form:

“Failed to send your message. Please try later or contact the administrator by another method.”

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the plugin from within WordPress. I have tried deleting the files via FTP and re-installing. I have even tried a few the last 2-3 older versions.

I appear to have hit a wall. Most Google searches either suggest making the page non-SSLed, which is not an option in this case.
