    Howdy all,

Got a couple of questions here pls,

    1. Using the phenomenal CF7 Dynamic Text Extension Plugin, thanks to SevenSpark, wil a form submissin random reference number generation shortcode(found one but yet to test it out, any other will be appreciated) work INSIDE SUCCESS MESSAGE Box (ie, show the rabdom reference number) as well?

    2. How can I add line breaks to the success message (my success message is rather an epistle:))

    3. How can I use the random reference number (regarded as a unique ID for the user(respondent)) generated in form A as a VALIDATION to be input in Form B before form B could get sent?

    Can’t thank you enough! {Hands clasped} ??

    Hi there,

The DTX doesn’t have any direct control over the success message, it only controls the value of text and hidden inputs in the form.

You could create a dynamic field, either hidden or visible to the user, which holds any number you generate via a shortcode. You could then add that value in your success message using the mail tag.

I don’t think you can add HTML in your success message to format it (see https://contactform7.com/editing-messages/ ) but that’s a general CF7 question and not something I have expertise in specifically.

There isn’t any validation functionality in the DTX, though you could make the field required – that sounds like it’d be a much larger project if you were doing true validation.

The DTX just allows you to place the output of your shortcode as the default value of a text or hidden input. Anything beyond that would be outside of its scope ??

    Hope that helps!
