What I’m trying to achieve: I need a way to edit a POD post from the front end.

At the moment I have an Elementor template that displays an entry in a pod (example)

But I also need a way to edit that pod, I found this post and followed it’s instructions but nothing happened. I suspected it was because I was already using an Elementor template to display that pod so I created a new pod not linked to any Elementor template to test. I was right. Example

So I have a working pod template linked to a gravity form which I can use to edit the pod from the front end. The trouble is, I now can’t use my Elementor template to display the pod to everyone that doesn’t have the role capabilities to edit my pods.

(I’ve set it so Admins, Editors, and Authors have the capability to edit my pods)

So I’m wondering if there is a way I can have the pod display via the Elementor template to all non author’s/admin’s/editor’s. But at the same time have a button on the page (that display’s only to author’s/admins/editors) that links to the same post but uses the Pod Template so that they can edit it.

Any help would be much appreciated, or if you have another way I could achieve the same result. I did have the thought that I may have to recreate the Elementor template inside the Pod Template and combine the two (if that would even work, not sure), but I would like to avoid that if possible.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]
