Thanks for a great plugin – very easy to install & use and looks great.

However, I’m experiencing a problem using the plugin with W3TC which does not occur when W3TC is disabled.

On viewing my site in a browswer, the search box appears as expected within the menu. On clicking on another menu item the actual search box disappears and I’m just left with the navigation label name – nothing happens if I try to click on the search navigation name.

Am I doing something wrong ? If not is there a fix to enable your plugin to be successfully used whilst also using w3TC ?

    Many thanks

    Hi Kevin,

Sorry for taking a while to get back to you.

I’m afraid I can’t replicate your issue with a clean install of WP4.2.2 with both W3TC and BSBITFNM. Do you have any specific settings to W3TC that are different to the ones applied by default?

I think this is more likely to be an issue with how W3TC caches and it may be that old pages are being loaded or something like that. Caching engines can be quite naughty.

    Cheers,
    Joe

    Hi Joe

    Thanks for your reply.

I’m not using the default settings. However, I have fixed the problem by switching OFF Object Caching. This has not affected the speed or performance of my website.

    Thus, the issue is resolved.

Thanks again for a great plugin. I’ve left a 5* review

Ah, that old problem. I’ll put out an update to circumvent this issue and stop it happening again. Caching engines should NOT be using WordPress’s object cache across requests, yet, sadly, it seems many do.

Thanks for getting back to me and for the kind review.

    Cheers,
    Joe
