    Hi,

we’re running WordPress on a Google App engine, hence, the filesystem is readonly. We store media on Google Cloud storage, for this we use a plugin.

Do you know if Autoptimize can be run under this circumstances? Do you know or have you heard about a way?
I understand that your base directory is always at least the “wp-content” directory.
Is it possible to use /tmp instead? (Still, I wouldn’t know if it could be served by nginx from there, but this may be another question.)

    Best regards & thank you!
    Wolfram

yes, but I learned that one hast to check your settings “Optimze css…” and “Optimize Js…”, also in read-only mode, otherwise it would, of course, not use the optimized files…

Hey, I’m also interested why the fallback and the first generated css and ja are of different sizes? The difference seems to be the stylesheets of two plugins whose styles I don’t have activated for my posts, is that it?

No idea I’m afraid, as per the code the fallback files are copies of the first generated (full, so not autoptimize_single* files) CSS and JS-files.

Now in your case it might be a good idea to create the fallback-files yourself, allowing you to make sure they cover the widest possible scenario’s? If the files are there, they won’t be recreated/ overwritten by AO.

Hi, ok, that’s a good idea, thank you. How is your next release going?
