    Hi, I’ve been using W3 Total Cache for a while, but the recent release is broken. Is Autoptimize a plugin I could use to replace W3 Total Cache? I discovered Autoptimize when I was looking for a solution to remove render-blocking JavaScript. I’m not very techie so was just wondering if I remove W3 Total Cache, and use Autoptimize instead, will it cover what the previous plugin was doing?
    thanks

    morning @ds1970;
    no, AO is not a replacement for all functionality in W3TC, as on top of asset minification (which AO does) W3TC can also provide database caching, object caching and most importantly page caching. but if you combine AO with e.g. WP Super Cache, KeyCDN Cache enabler, Comet Cache or Hyper Cache (all page caching plugins) you should be OK ??

    hope this clarifies,
    frank

    Hi, thanks for getting back to me. So, do you mean that WP Super Cache, KeyCDN Cache enabler, Comet Cache or Hyper Cache are all plugins I can use instead of W3TC. And I can use one of those substitutes at the same time as AO?

    Would you happen to know which one of page caching plugins is easiest to use for non-techies?

    thanks

    indeed, combining one of those page caching plugins with autoptimize will give you the best results.

    I think comet cache of keycdn enabler maybe?
