Using Apple Pay without Guest Checkout

    I am having a trouble using the WooCommerce Stripe Payment plugin and before I purchase the upgrade for WebToffee, I need to know if I will encounter the same error.

    In summary, we get an error at payment stage with Apple Pay, because the plugin isn’t expecting details to be populated in the billing section. As we have disabled guest checkout inside WooCommerce, the Payment button is effectively trying to create an account AND take payment.

    Actual response from WooCommerce as follows :

    If you are forcing customers to create an account – I’d recommend removing the option for Payment Request buttons – it isn’t possible to create an account AND use Payment Request buttons. They would create the account using the standard Checkout flow rather than the Payment Request buttons. As I mentioned, the Payment Request button as an alternative payment method and bypass the usual WooCommerce Checkout – but you’ve put in billing details in so it isn’t able to bypass but it also doesn’t have the compatibility to offer those in the payment modal. If you allow Guest Checkout it will support it.

    We don’t want to enable guest checkout as the bulk of our customers store their order details inside their account.

    Please can you advise if we will have the same issue under WebToffee using the Apple Pay button.

    Currently, account creation on checkout will not work with apple pay in our plugin.

    Is this something you would consider as a bespoke development piece?

    Depending on the cost, we might be willing to fund.
