    Hi there,

I am new to blogging so appologies if this is a really dumb question. I am currently trying to set up a blog for a school using andreas01 theme.

When I have been adding test comments to a post I have noticed that each comment moves slightly to the left. You can see this problem on the test run of his theme where he has 200+ comments.

I have been searching through the CSS and PHP files, but cannot find anything that makes this effect.

    Does anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks for your help!

p.s. – here is the site

  • hi there

I see your new to the forum, so welcome!

The crux of your problem is that your using someone elses work, and that brings about many problems and situations like this, in that you didnt create the original code and so have little knowledge of its workings.

Maybe you could ask your teacher (if your doing this at school), or just try to learn how to create your own themes by researching it…how old are you?

hope you at least fix your problem this time around!

Anyone who can answer my problem? – I am THE teahcer in the school – I am THE web developer for the school.

I am conffident user of CSS and PHP – however am new to WordPress thats all.

    So….can anyone HELP?????

Other people have used this theme without the problem so there must be a solution.

I hope you dont speak to your students like that!

Go to the back of the class, naughty boy!

Serouisly, I have given you soem advice, you don’t have to take it, but you could just accept it with a smile and thankyou. Creating templates of your own is fairly simple to someone with even a small amount of css and php knowledge.

Until I have time to learn the inner workings of wordpress theme creation, I would apprichiate someone telling me what the solution is.

It must be a setting in the PHP or CSS which makes the comments move to the left. It is a simple solution I am sure.

I do not have time to create a brand new theme for this blog as I am currently developing a new website for the school also. If using other peoples themes is such a sin why are there so many on offer???

When I ask a question and someone returns with a patronising answer asking if I am a child, what else do you expect?

So, once again, can anybody help me with this issue?

    Thanks

Well you have a <p> and no closing </p> in each comment, so that’s probably the problem…

    Remember, always validate. ??

if it is so hard and time consuming, why IS there so many on offer?
