    Hi

I’d like to get some info about a pro feature before I make a purchase. It is under the Ultimate Member integration and it says “A user registers with a form with a specific value in a specific field”.

I can specify the form and the form field but “specific value” part gets me. I just need it to trigger if the field is not empty. The contents of the field is variable and not relevant. So is it possible to use a wildcard for the “specific value” field or not use that field at all?

Hi @royalbunny , good question, right now it is not possible to fire the trigger only if a field is non-blank (so a wildcard value), but there may be some workarounds.

Normally what we would suggest here in a form is that you have a hidden field and you make the value conditional on another field selection (e.g. set hidden “Automator” field to “yes” if field ABC is not blank), then the Automator recipe could look at the value in the hidden field and run the recipe based on that. I don’t see that Ultimate Member supports this approach, though you could probably use some JS to add a default value to the hidden field based on visible field entry.

I can confirm that by the end of the year there will be a nicer solution here, but for now (at least on the Automator side), it’s unfortunately not possible to say, “Only run this recipe if a field isn’t blank”, aside from creating multiple recipes, each with one of the possible values for the variable field.

Thank you so much for the answer. ?? I guess I will create a separate form for that info and create a recipe for that individual form and then I will be waiting for the end-of-year update. ??

Great plugin by the way. Thanks a bunch for creating it.

Hi @royalbunny , we’ll go ahead and close this one since we released our condition support. If you still need assistance here though it’s fine to reopen it or create a new ticket.
