Using a slider plugin for my banner

    Hi Steven –

    It’s been a while, but I hope you are doing well. I would like my homepage banner to have a slider feature (so I can showcase a series of photos). I am using the Lyra theme (free version). What would be the best way to achieve this – a slider plugin?

    Thanks for getting in touch!

    Since the free version of Juliet doesn’t include the slider, you’re probably right that a plugin would be your best bet. I’m sorry that I don’t have any specific ones to suggest, but I know there are quite a few slider plugins out there, so hopefully you can find one that does the trick. ??

    Thanks Steven. I actually decided to upgrade to the pro version of the Juliet theme ??

    I’m excited to start using all the features. Can I work on making changes to my website offline (and save them) until I am ready to publish the new look? What’s the best way to go about doing this? Looking for any guidance you can offer…let me know if I should reach out directly on the LyraThemes website.

    On this particular one though, it probably depends on how much work you have in mind. You can either work in the Customizer and just save your changes without publishing them, or if you’re planning on a lot of work, you may want to ask your host to create a staging site for you. Or (my personal preference) you can go all out and use something like LocalWP to work offline, locally on your computer. It’s faster if you have a lot of changes planned.
