Hi, I am working on a website and I was testing it on a subdirectory called /wordpress and it worked just fine. So I followed the directions to use a pre-existing subdirectory install and to use the main website with the files in the /wordpress folder. The home page works fine, but all the links return with the following message:

    Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

I’ve updated the index.php file with “require(‘./wordpress/wp-blog-header.php’);”, I tried editing the .htaccess for redirecting (just to see if that’ll maybe fix things), and I also updated the permalinks settings. Any ideas on what is happening?

    The website in question is:
    vaxart.com

Still having this issue. I’m certain that there’s something wrong with the permalinks because when I change it to default, one of the pages work, but the rest don’t. And when I change it to post-name, none of them work.

Got it to work. Just messed around with .htaccess file.
