Uses Akismet Anti-spam Jetpack?

    Hi, I am using the free version of “Akismet Anti-spam: Spam Protection” v. 5.3.3. The Advanced DB Cleaner PRO 3.2.9 plugin told me that “jetpack_options” is linked to the Akismet plugin, see link. We may have used the Jetpack plugin in the past, I don’t use it now. I would like to remove “jetpack_options” and cron. Can you tell me if the Akismet plugin uses Jetpack? Thanks, Regards George

    Hi there,

    We may have used the Jetpack plugin in the past, I don’t use it now. I would like to remove “jetpack_options” and cron. Can you tell me if the Akismet plugin uses Jetpack?

    The Akismet plugin does not rely on Jetpack, so if you’ve removed the Jetpack plugin then I believe those tables and cron jobs should be safe to remove. It would be best to backup your database before doing that just to be safe though.
