    Hello,

I’d like to use Iubenda Consent Solution for keeping track of the consents received when users signup on my website through UsersWP sign-up form.

Iubenda has a WordPress Plugin: once installed and linked to your Iubenda account, you just have to click the “Autodetect Forms” button and the plugin automatically detects all the forms in the website and links them to the Consent Solution. This option doesn’t work for UsersWP sign-up forms: I wrote to their support, and they said the autodetect options only works with Contact Form 7 and WP Forms. They told me I should to it manually following this guide: https://www.iubenda.com/en/help/6473-consent-solution-js-documentation

I tried, but of course I failed – I’m not a developer, and I know nothing about JS.
Is there, by any chance, a guide you guys wrote to set up the Iubenda Consent Solution?
Or, maybe, could you be so kind to explain to me step by step how to link my UsersWP sign-up form to my Iubenda Consent Solution?
Maybe this could be helpful also to other users, since GDPR is not something you can mess with, if you have professional websites.

    Thanks!

    Hi Alessandro,

There is no such guide and that is considered customization, which falls outside the scope of support.

Just FYI, registration per se does not require consent. You need consent only if you will be using their email address for something else, like automatically subscribing them to a newsletter list. In that case, you could also use a UWP checkbox to do so.

    Thanks,

    Hello,

I am aware this would be customization, so beyond the scope of support.
I’m just saying that i would be a very insightful content you should consider, since Iubenda is one of the most popular all-in-one service for GDPR compliance, and it might be resourceful to have such a guide – or, eve, better, an add-on for smooth integration, for which I’d be willing to pay!

Anyway, I need consent because during the registration process I collect sensitive data, and users must accept the terms in which that data is collected, stored and used – hence, the privacy policy.

In the UWP registration form, I have both the “Terms and Condition” and the “GDPR Policy” fields, both required. So, of course, if someone register, they have to accept them by checking the checkbox. This means that all the registered account gave the consent. But this is kind of implicit: I also need explicit proof of that, with a timestamp of the moment in which the consent was give. For this reason, I decided to use Iubenda Consent Solution.
For me, an integration with consent solution like Iubenda’s seems to be the natural evolution of the GDPR Field in the Signup form.

    Hi Alessandro,

Thanks for the feedback, this is the first time I have heard of that solution. If we get many requests for it then likely we would implement a solution but not currently.

FYI our checkboxes on registration do record consent and have a timestamp in the Database.

    Thanks,

    Stiofan

    Thanks Stiofan!
Where can I find the consent with the timestamp in the database?

The date is stored under wp_users “user_registered” and the consent is logged in “wp_uwp_usermeta”

    Thanks,
