Users unable to edit media captions

    Hi,

    My users are able to upload media but not go in and edit a caption afterwards (greyed out).

    Within Roles & Capabilities, I have upload/edit files checked off.

    Please help!

    A few extra follow-up questions to make sure we get your issue diagnosed correctly:

    • Where are they trying to edit the caption: From the Media area, in a Pods File field, or in the Media Library modal that opens up?
    • Can you confirm that they are trying to edit a caption for an image that they themselves uploaded?
    • Can you confirm whether the image they are trying to edit is attached to the current post they are editing?
    • Do they have access to edit others posts for that post type?

    Providing these details will help figure out what to recommend and how to move forward.
