• Hey there! I am trying to create a site that allows users to send an editable draft email in support of a specific cause they want their city councils to take note of. I have seen something similar – ebay made one to help people easily send a letter in protest of online tax law (or something…) changing. Although, they were just sending it to one email.

I have wordpress experience but am at a loss for what plugin will allow users to send an email to any email they want, not just a predetermined one.

I also have to figure out how to best allow them to search for what their city council’s email is.

**Any thoughts/ideas would be appreciated. Even if it’s just a suggestion of Google search terms that might lead me in the right direction.

    Thank you!

    Very very bad idea.

Imagine this… Your site can do what you want it to – anyone can send any message they want to any recipient that they want. How long do you think that it would take SPAM’ers to find that form, and use your server to send out their messages, all coming from your service. Your server will get blacklisted

At very least you’d want to do is have a list of available recipients, and let the users choose from that. That way you’ll still get SPAM’ers trying to send stuff, but it wil be slightly more controlled.

As far as plugins, I believe that Contact Form 7 can allow multiple recipients (see this thread). I know that Gravity Forms can do this pretty easily, but that’s a commercial plugin so it may or may not suit your needs.
